While the rest of the Preston Community was began in the mid-1980’s, Preston Village was built between 1994-2002. It is know by most of the Preston Community simply as “The Village”. It consists of 161 homes with the average lot size being .63 acres. That was the big draw to Preston Village is it's, its half-acre + lot sizes. Parade of Homes is a three weekend long open house showcasing Home Builders Association models. These homes were very impressive, extremely different from anything this area had seen to date. Large lots, custom executive homes, large manicured common areas, park-like enormous playground under beautiful trees lined with benches around a huge pond, walking trails, pool, and covered picnic area were just a few of the amenities offered by Preston Village. The most impressive part was the Preston Village “Circle on the Green”. It's a large round-about in the front of the neighborhood that boasts an enormous gazebo and grassy area used by the residents for social events. Just this year 50-60 teens and family members were at the gazebo taking Green Hope High School Prom pictures.
