Noodles & Co. Cary NC

Noodles & Co.  Cary NC

No need to do a double-take, a restaurant dedicated to just noodles, Noodles & Co. Cary NC is a hit!  I first heard of Noodles & Co. form my daughter who attends NC State University.  Her college friends find Noodles & Co. the perfect comfort food when away from home.

The restaurant serves noodles, salads, and soups from around the world.  Thick gooey Mac and Cheese to the more exotic Pad-Tia. Made to order you can pick and choose your serving size and ingredients.  Order at the counter, take your number and your meal will be served at your table.  Noodles  & Co. is a "tip-free" zone.  A welcome relief from our tip crazed society, not to mention for the tight purse strings of the college population.

Cary NC First Night Raleigh 2011

Cary NC     First Night Raleigh 2011

Cary NC   First Night Raleigh 2011 begins Friday December 31st at 2:00 pm.
Every city has their own unique New Year's Celebration and Raleigh NC is no exception.

No "big apple" dropped here.

Raleigh proudly proclaims itself the City of Oaks because of the incredible number of 100 + year old Oak Trees.
To that end the City of Raleigh drops none other than an ACORN.
First Night Raleigh

The celebration kicks off at 2:00pm and the first ACORN drop takes place at the family friendly time of 7:00 pm. The next drop is at the traditional New Year's time of 12:00 midnight.   2011 will ring in with seasonal temps, a far cry form the 7" of snow that graced the city Christmas Night.  While waiting for the ACORN drop you can spend time at the "Rockefeller-like" Downtown Raleigh skating rink.  Remember Downtown Raleigh is just 30 minutes from Cary NC.

Cary NC Guaranty Title Offers "Key Docs"

Cary NC  Guaranty Title Offer "Key Docs"

Cary NC   Guaranty Title offers "Key Docs" to clients.  What are "Key Docs"?  Key  Docsare digitally stored closing documents on a USB  flash drive. When clients use Guaranty Titlefor thier title insurance they will receive all their closing documents stored on a paperless USB flash drive.

An extra added bonus is that the clients can then use the USB Key Docsto add their own documents.  Brillant idea!  My own personal filing cabinet is full of post-closing documents from four moves and countless re-financing. guaranty title key docs

Cary NC is a high-tech hub, home to Research Triangle Park the place that hundreds of high-tech, biomedical corporations reside.  Clients are high-techand have the that same expectation of thier real estate agents.  Guaranty Title's Key Docsansewrs that call.

Many institutions are moving toward paperless documents.  Our daughter's collegeorientation at ECU (Eastern Carolina University)  we were given the option of a stack of papers or a Pirate Chest Key.  You guessed it, the mascot at ECU is a Pirate and the key is a USB flash drive.

Cary NC Guaranty Title offers Key Docs, ECU offering Pirate Chest Key are just a few examples of our rapid move toward a paperless society. signature

Our Value is Only as Good as Our Integrity

A high level of personal intergrity is a must in our company.  That is why I chose to work for Fonville Morisey Realty.  They set the standard in our market.

Via Debe Maxwell - Search Charlotte Homes for Sale - Charlotte NC Neighborhoods (Helen Adams Realty):

Our Value is Only as Good as Our Integrity

In·teg·ri·ty.  What does integrity mean to you?  What does it mean to your business?  Moreover, what does your integrity mean to your clients

Integrity in the form of a handshakeThe definition of integrity is really quite simple--firm adherence to a code of especially moral values.  Integrity is synonymous with words such as incorruptibility, soundness, completeness, and honesty.  As real estate professionals, our 'value' is only as good as our integrity.  Think about that for a moment.

Commitment to integrity is something that is predominantly 'ingrained' in us as children; however, as adults, we must establish a commitment to this practice both in life and in our business, especially if we have employees or partners with whom we work.  Shouldn't we share the same commitment to integrity as a team or a firm (our businesses)?

Are you a person of integrity? Are you incorruptible, sound, complete and honest?  Do you do the right thing even if it does not mean 'money in your pocket?'  Do you do the right thing even if it means additional steps in an already, lengthy transaction?  (i.e. disclosures)

Possessing high integrity is perhaps the most difficult quality in life to 'achieve' but, once you have achieved it, integrity is THE most satisfying one.  Integrity is connected to a very deep subconscious decision to utilize constraint when it comes to acting upon something that is morally conflicting for us.  Whether we know it or not, subconsciously we may be 'considering' whether we should or shouldn't act morally in a particular situation.  If we have strong convictions to 'do the right thing,' our internal conflicts will occur less often and with less conscious involvement in the decision.

Integrity
In our business, we have SO many opportunities that could lead to the compromise of our integrity.
Just look at the state of the economy, predominantly caused by those who chose to compromise their integrity in exchange for a hefty paycheck or even a new home mortgage.  Many of the issues that cause agents to permanently lose their license are those related to poor decisions, which directly relate to their integrity.

Are you willing to compromise your license, your livlihood for a few extra bucks?  We should protect and cherish our businesses, keeping in mind just how hard we worked to get to this point--but, only after we consider our morals.  Our integrity is something that we've worked to protect our our entire lives.

Is integrity at the heart of everything you do?in·teg·ri·ty (L. integritas) n.  Adhering to a strict ethical code

  • The state of being wholesome; unimpaired
  • The quality or condition of being complete; pure

Our team's motto:  Integrity Without Compromise.  Plain and simply.  Is that part of your customer service; part of your life?

Cary NC "Family" is a Realative Term During Christmas

Cary NC "Family" is a Relative Term During Christmas

Cary NC Family is a relative term during Christmas.  My husband and I have not lived in our hometowns since college.  Holidays, especially Christmas were tough.  Before children we traveled home to be with family.  After the children were born we made a conscience decision to create our own Christmas traditions.

Just not the same without extended family.

It turns out several of our friend were also experiencing the same family-less Christmas Day.  It was then we decided to "create family" and started
our own tradition of a Christmas Brunch with friend that we considered family, who were staying in townFamily Christmas

Twenty five-ish years, two different cities, friend have come and gone, the tradition continues.  I am planning our Annual Christmas Brunch with the same 3 family we have for the last decade.  The chaos of the early earls have grown to a special holiday with kids ranging from 10 -20 years old.  Presents have changed from board games to college gear. Appetite have changed  from chocolate chip pancakes to lots and lots of quiches and stratas for large appetites.

The one constant is the sherbet punch.  Even the adult kids look forward to the sweet concoction.

Family is a relative term during Christmas.  We created our own!

Common Myths About Real Estate Agents

An excellent description of the value of Real Estate Agents.  The value of a good agent will be 10 fold after the implementation of NC's new Due Diligence Contract that goes in to effect Jan 1.

Via Debe Maxwell - Search Charlotte Homes for Sale - Charlotte NC Neighborhoods (Helen Adams Realty):

Common Myths About Real Estate Agents

Ask anyone about their experiences with real estate agents, and you will no doubt hear a wide variety of responses.  There are so many myths about agents that tend to be taken as truths when someone has a negative experience.  A good real estate agent is worth every single penny you spend for their expertise.  Let’s examine some popular myths about real estate agents.

So you think real estate agents make too much money?"They make too much money."  According to CareersInFinance.com, the median salary for real estate agents in 2009 was approximately $54,000.  Agents have to pay exorbitant business expenses such as broker’s fees, professional organization memberships and MLS listing fees.  One of our biggest expenses is marketing homes for sale for buyers and sellers.  These expenses quickly add up and ultimately take away a large percentage of our pay.

"They won’t get you a good deal because they make a commission on the sale price. Yes, real estate commissions are based on a percentage of the sale price.  However, consider the same sample percentage, for example, the commission on a $185,000 home would be $5550, while the commission on a $200,000 home, $6000. That difference of $450 is hardly worth creating a negative impression by “getting you a bad deal.”

Anything? Really?"They will say anything in order to make a sale."  Professional  real estate agents work for you; our goal is for you to have a positive experience with us.  After all, much of our business comes from referrals. We want you to be happy so you will tell your friends and family about the excellent service that you received when buying or selling with us.

"They don’t do anything you can’t do on your own."  The truth is that buying and selling real estate can be quite complicated and time consuming.  Sure, you can order home inspections and surveys on your own.  You can even negotiate for your terms.  However, professional  real estate agents are trained to do this and have experience at it.  As a result, we’ll save you money, time and make your life less complicated throughout process.

Don’t underestimate the value of a professional real estate agent.

Let me help you save time and money when buying or selling your home.  Call or email me today and let’s get started!

Raleigh Christmas Arts and Craft Show

Raleigh Christmas Arts and Craft Show

Raleigh Christmas arts and Craft Show greeted Downtown Raleigh this weekend.  The Christmas Arts and Craft show is scheduled annually the first weekend in December.  The Raleigh Convention Center host this festive Holiday event.

Artisans from all over the state show their wears.  The arts and crafts run the gambit from jams and jellies, jewelry to woodworking.  Musical entertainment adds to the festive atmosphere.  Saxophone Quartet playing Christmas Carols, area dance troops, and choirs really get everyone in the spirit.

Some of my favorites:
  • The Candle Man making multi-layered carved candles as you watch.
  • A gemologist specializing in amber jewelry
  • Gourmet spice packs for snack dips
  • Satin tree skirts
Make the Downtown Raleigh Christmas Arts and Craft Show a distination for all your Holiday Shopping.
Downtown is only 30 minutes from Cary!
